Mr Peter Smith was elected as Lord Dean of the Merchant Guidry of Stirling on 3rd December 2025.

Peter was born and raised in Stirling and was educated at Stirling High School, only moving away for a few years when he trained and served in the military. Since then he has lived all his days in the Stirling area and has run a small decorating business for over 40 years.

Peter has lived in Bannockburn for 34 years and, along with the Guildry of Stirling, is also a member of the Hammermen which forms part of the Seven Incorporated Trades of Stirling, plus several other historical bodies. In his spare time Peter is kept busy with his family and his 4 granddaughters.
