Originally from the St Ninians area of Stirling, Neil attended Stirling High School and Edinburgh University, graduating with an MA in politics and economic history.

Before being elected as a Councillor in 2007, he worked in retail management for a major national supermarket chain, and as a GIS consultant for a local company.

He served as Vice-President of Edinburgh University Union in 2003. Neil is currently the leader of the Conservative Group at Stirling Council.

Neil lives in St Ninians and is a Stirling local.

He’s a keen motorcyclist and enthusiastic musician, with a love of craft beer and whisky.
